Relationship between Critical Reading Skills and Creative Reading Perceptions of Fifth Grade Students

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between critical reading skills and creative perceptions fifth grade students. In study, correlational research design was employed. population consisted approximately 5000 students studying at schools in city center central village Uşak Province, Turkey 2019-2020 academic year. sample 446 selected from through stratified sampling. To collect data, “Critical Reading Skill (CRS) Scale” “Perception Scale Creative Reading” (PSCR) scale were used. analysis descriptive statistics, correlation, one-way two-way variance, regression multivariate variance As a result research, it found that there positive significant perception levels (r =.886, p.01). addition, skill predictor (R2=.785, It concluded gender groups did not significantly affect level while average daily TV viewing time number books read month variables affected relationship. revealed scores scores.
